Our mission is to create an environment where children can relish in the excitement and wonder of table top games while building their imaginations, making friends, and picking up some useful skills along the way.
As experienced educators, we see the countless learning opportunities available through using an engaging springboard like that of a role playing games. Think of all the wonderful ideas, rich vocabulary, complex problems and relationships built that one could come across stealing a treasure from a dragon’s horde!

What We Do
We build after-school and holiday programmes that use social tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer to educate and entertain children (typically aged 8-14). While fun, our approach focuses on building on learning intentions derived from the New Zealand Curriculum in literacy, the arts, social sciences and maths to create additional opportunities outside of the class setting that enhance and support children’s learning.
Why We Do It
We are huge nerds.​ We have watched the renaissance of Dungeons and Dragons in the last decade with a keen understanding of not only how entertaining it can be for all ages, but how beneficial it can be for social development, for problem solving, and for critical thinking.

We are also teachers, and have seen positive results introducing gamification principles based on tapletop gaming in the classroom. We want to build on this and create unconventional but effective opportunities for learning in our communities around Aotearoa New Zealand.
